Taking a page from MASS MoCA fixtures such as Julianne Swartz’s In Harmonicity, the Tonal Walkway and Sol Lewitt: A Wall Drawing Retrospective, campers will explore multimedia based art and how to tell a story using everyday technology. Sound and video are front and center this week as participants are tasked with constructing a multimedia work of art to be installed in or around MASS MoCA galleries. Inspired by the enormity of MASS MoCA’s spaces and installations-like the work of Laurie Anderson and kelli rae adams -campers will take the week to think BIG and develop, construct, and install a large scale work of art around a theme or idea of their choosing.
